weekend

So here's an update on the weekend. I feel like I'm making up for all the hours and days I've slogged off on uni stuff. I've hardly been home before midnight since I started work. It's a record. What surprises me is that the folks don't say a word. Not a phone call, not a text, not an angry word when I get home. Well, perhaps not yet. Friday was a day of crazies. Aidan was not used the entire day save for checking an email from the boss telling me about all the meetings we had for the day (which was: a 11am meeting with the team of us working on the Best of Singapore coffee table book, a 3pm out-of-the-office with the Beauty Map editor and a 5pm out-of-the-office with the EzyHealth editors and sales person).

Oh and right after we rushed to finish the BOS meeting, we had to rush down to deliver a F1 themed wedding cake for a wedding exhibit (which turned out to be crazy-crazy. I shall not go into detail cos I don't wish to re-live the insanity of those moments) and then drop AWAQ (that's my colleague btw, the initials of her full name) back at the office then head off. Then we had to run around settling more cake-wedding- F1 related stuff and THEN, I got to finally go to Mike's place for dinner with his mum (who's here from Scotland), dad and Benny. The food was yum-o! And I got to see where Mike gets his sense of humour. His mum's absolutely darling and I love hearing so much of the Scottish accent. (: Oh and there was hanging out with Benny, Niko, Axel and gang at Harry's. Good times, good times.

Saturday saw me heading over to JB for a spot of shopping. Sunday was packed. Ballet from 12 to 3pm and then shopping with Hui-en at Bugis and Suntec (I love Joop) and I GOT TO WATCH AND HEAR THE F1 CARS SUPER CLOSE! AHHHHHHH! :D And as the past few weeks, I got home about 12.30. The streets near my place were so quiet and foggy... and strangely calming. I was able to express and sort out my thoughts clearly and then work from there to solve the list of issues presently on my plate. I've been postponing and been postponed on just because there are 24 hours in a day and 8 of those hours are spent at work, 2 hours spent travelling back and forth from work, 5-6 hours spent sleeping and the remainder on meeting up with people and other meetings. Wheew. Tonight's all about plonking myself in front of Albus (Qi's lappy) and watching episodes of MERLIN and throwing adoring looks at BRADLEY JAMES! Wheeee! :D
