the week

I had a blast last week. More specifically the days from Wednesday. Had lunch with Boss Lady and my two colleagues A and N. Then dinner with Qi at Swensens and a last minute escapade to Popular after closing, heh. Thursday saw Qi meeting me for some good chicken rice at Katong Mall (?) for lunch and dinner with the black or white secondary school gang at Swensens again. I'd memorised the menu by then and was dolling out my expertise for most of the dishes sans the ones with beef. I also had my first bike ride in over 15 years (at night no less!) and enjoyed myself thoroughly. :D

Friday saw A and myself off to Borders and Diva for pressies for the birthday lass and then on for lunch at KFC. Twas hilarious when Boss Lady called to say she was coming to join us for a bit before dropping us off back at work before heading out for another meeting. She's the cutest! She's petite (smaller than me by half a head) and drives a huge Hyundai 4WD type cars. This was when she answered the call and it went something like this.. "erm yeah so the email address is ....@wildfirrcomm (then the other person says something and she says) oh er yeah, fire, hahah, it's friday". We're laughing our heads off after that all the way up to the office. The twas a mad rush down to Marina South Pier (I ended up super early). Boss Lady actually kept timing for me- at quarter to 6, she told me I should start packing. At 10 to 6, she said I should be leaving and at 5 to 6, she was rushing me out the door and asked A to carry my stuff (3 bags, Aidan the lappy and another huge book) down to my ride. She's darling, honest.

The party was superdidoooooper fun! I was thoroughly exhausted when I got there but at the end of the night, I was all pumped up again. I love the dancing while the boat was rocking and watching the dudes dance prep for the adult. And the car ride with Taufiq, Josh, Zee, Nick and Gareth- omg, I don't reckon I've laughed so much, nor gotten squashed that much! The boys are hilarious and I loved every moment of hanging out with them and my babes.

Saturday saw things quieten down a bit and I actually managed to get home before one (the three days before that saw me getting home past midnight or one in the morning which is uncanny since the folks would have called a gazillion times) since twas a charity concert for Club Rainbow. I had fun.. especially watching Monochrome's guitarist (you'll know why I was so enthralled when you see him perform) perform with the wee kiddies.

Then there was Sunday. Attended the cousin's wedding ceremony, broke my toe and had tea with the relatives and their relatives. Pretty alright since I didn't have to do much walking but I couldn't sleep the night since the pain was becoming too hard to suppress. Stuff and bother. Let's see what the coming week has in store for me.
