Then came the good bits where Boss Lady gave me a ride to Toa Payoh and the journey was FILLED with stuff about us, our families, lives so far, interests, accomplishments etc. Oh and we talked about best mates. Her story runs parallel to mine- not just in terms of friends but with education as well. I've never felt so akin to someone to that extent before. She's awesome.

Just when you think it couldn't get any worse....
.... it can. I relegated myself to the thought that I'd have to hobble to get the bus to work, walk and climb numerous flights of stairs 5 minutes from the bus stop to get to work and then settle down for the long day ahead- solo, and try to keep the bone from moving further. In the end, my dad dropped me off (even after repeated refusals since the journey in the morning is insane) at work and I had most of the day to myself except when my boss walked in just when I was leaving for lunch and then realise my ATM account was screwed up and I was left penniless for the day. Thinking what else could go wrong, I get back to the office to find out the boss would be back much later with Subway to tempt me (was intending to get that for lunch) and that I'd have another assignment piled on me even before I finished the first. My brain juices refuse to co-operate with me and the pain was no longer a dull throb but a slicing reminder of the pain I neglected and refused to acknowledge. I think my body likes to test me at times.
