Hurt

One month down, another 2 weeks to go. One trimester to go...and I'm pooling all my reserves together to maintain a steady balance in brain equilibrium. Weddings coming up, birthdays too. I'm supposed to be finalising party plans for myself too but with everything hitting me at an overwhelming speed, I've only got time to take things as they come. I will persevere though, I have to.

"I believe that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that."

It takes quite a bit for me to get hurt, especially by friends but when I do, it's not something I forget easily. People say you should "forgive and forget". I disagree partially. I believe you should try as hard to forgive (it takes time) but not forget. I feel you should remember because it protects you from getting hurt the second and consecutive times. Also, you'll understand that such a friend's actions and words should in fact be treated lightly and somewhat shielding you from having to deal with he/she troubling you. I learnt. Fast.
