I'll run through a quick update to substantiate the earlier paragraph (Blimey! I'm even starting to write in academinc terms!)
I've enriched my life with the Da Vinci exhibition, the exchange trip to Australia (which will be explained in detail in a new post), a musical performance by Michelle, attending "Writing an Impactful Resume" workshop and meeting with a real client.
I've celebrated mnay more friends' birthdays than I usually do, with a lot more coming up soon. The most recent before heading off to Australia where the experinces don't compare, was Gena's birthday. The best part was Twister. The mangle-tangle. (:
School has provided so many cherished experiences that I wouldn't know where to begin if I had to list them all. The trip back from Oz was so refreshing that I was determined to be a better student. No more quiet days in class, no more silence after questions.
- IRHR (Managing the Organisation): Dr Peter Waring is an amazing lecturer. I'd usually get bored if the lecture is too technical, however, with his charm and easiness it is easy to follow his lecture and be interested in it. No more Monday blues for me!
- Media Interviews: Zak's take-it-easy approach to things might fool one at first but it can be seen that he notices potential and pushes for it. This course also includes DDE which poses a bit of a distraction.
- PR Strategies and Tactics: This module is taken by Robert Conceiaco who's got many years of experience. He even took the effort to talk things through with us on how to address clients, what to say, how to say what you want to put across etc. His flexibility in assignments gives us more room to wiggle too.
- Magazine Journalism: And there's Dr Steve. I guess appearing the The Herald (Newcastle) kinda gave him a different impression? I'm not, I'm never sure with anything concerning Dr Steve.
Then there are/were the ROMs, Engagements, Weddings and Wedding Dinners. Boy oh boy! I don't think I've ever gotten so many sarees ever! At least I get to use them. Whee!
Then there's the health aspect of which I'm keeping in check. (:
