hear ye, hear ye!

A wise old owl sat in an oak.
The more he saw, the less he spoke.
The less he spoke, the more he heard
Why aren't we all like that wise old bird?

I'm blessed to have realised this in primary 3.
The unilateral hearing has helped on many an occassion too.

I've never really wanted the hearing to get in the way of how I do things, and I've grown to appreciate what I have, even though I physically don't have.
I love lip reading and people watching, I love signing and being signed to. I love it when small words and alphabets I've taught people aren't forgotten and are used to pass me coded messages. I love it. (:
