Not Wauchope, but Gungellan's close enough for now.

The cousins from Oz are heading up which ruins my meticulous planning for a summer Christmas in NSW. Dammit. Awful innit? No way in hell am I giving up anything this time. On hindsight, maybe a trip to Malacca, again, wouldn't be all that bad. I'm kinda sick of it though. I guess the X'mas cheer over there will get me into a celebratory mood again.

Since having taken to watching McLeods Daughters more diligently, I've fallen in love with this song that's had me singing it randomly throughout the day.

The Girl from Gungellan

So this is the place, where I make my home.
Far from the city, and I'm all alone.
But this sleepy old town will get a shock of its own,
when it wakes up to what it can be. (Repeat x2)

(Chorus)
Wake up Gungellan!
Stand aside for the modern girl.
Wake up Gungellan!
Get in sync with the modern world.
Cos its a beautiful, beautiful day
Its a beautiful, beautiful day
Its a beautiful, beautiful day.. to be alive!

Repeat chorus.

I'm not sure who the original singers are though. I'll get the clip up when I can.
