Its gonna be filled with awesome stuff that happened throughout the week.
There was Tuesday which I spent with M watching "The Dark Knight" at Vivo. That fella.. left me speechless. He got me the earliest present. Totally threw me off-guard. totally blindsided me. I'm missing him already! The craziest of the bunch of instructors and I'm lucky enough to get him. Thank God I didn't let him down this time. I made him proud, made DSG proud and my parents proud. Oh, made me proud of me too. =)
If anyone thouoght they saw me walking around AMK Hub in my traditional outfit, you saw right. Pull up those dropped jaws and stiffle those audible gasps. It was me. Had meditation meeting at Aunty Ruku's place so had to hop on the subway.. pass Khatib (Duke), Yishun (Mohan), Woodlands (Narash) and finally Yew Tee. The meeting was refreshing. I feel super re-charged. Plus I got to see that hottie-in-the-making Vikram. Got home just after midnight when my dad breaks the news that a close family friend and my dad's closest friend collapsed and died couple hours before. I broke down and cried. I didn't even cry like that for any close family friend before, surprising even myself cos he used to tease me to the point of irritation. May his soul R.I.P.
Driving on thursday and my tummy was roiling away cos unfounded fears. Was ultra scared but felt calm when I thought of M so went for driving and found out blasted John didn't top up my precious car with gas so M had to spend 15ish mins getting it to start. Pfftt. Luckily twas my last lesson or John better be praying I don't see him around when I meet up with M for I'd sure love to tan his hide. Met up with Nesh for lunch. Felt incredibly sick but prayed I wouldn't hurl and ended up getting accosted by this hottie who deemed it necessary to chat me up even though he knew I was neither working nor a credit card holder.

Him: Hi there! Good luck for your exams! Pass with flying colors!
Me: *Guarded grin* Uh, sure, thanks.
Him: *Prolly saw the look of utter bewilderment* Not working right? Student? Got exams right?
Me: Er... not rea.., yeahhh (decide that he doesn't need to know we don't have exams, instead having graded assignments)
Him: So yeah, good luck!!
Me: Alrightttt. Thanks. =)
His friend even had the sheer nerve to comment on how he manages to "pick 'em". Boy does that not sound hookerish. Yuck.
Plus my mommy told me not to talk to strangers. That's the reason why I didn't ask for his number in case anyone was wondering...
Went for the wake and when it dawned on me how final twas, I choked on the tears, held them in for my dad's sake. I was a crumbling mess on the inside. Remembering some of the convies Nesh and I had kinda controlled the torrent of tears.
Then there's today.
Aug 1st 2008.
The results of all M and my hard work, the enormous support from the darlings and the combined prayers= DRIVER'S LICENSE.
Elation? Sublime joy? Unparallelled ecstacy? All of the above more like it. I truely feel blessed.
Even more so cos the tester was a pain in the ass. He's super stingy and I suspect he's been in an accident or 2 to have such worries for checking blindspots(which I did check but insufficiently apparently) and safety protocol ("you MUST MUST check the back when you drive ah girl!) Someone please explain to me how you can even attempt to park without checking the rear?? Anyway, I just did as instructored and nodded unhearingly and passed. The last time I'd have to see that wretched guy.. though the others there are pretty nice. Keep remembering the heartwarming convies I had with Megan and M just before going into the waiting.
Megan! We're going out to celebrate! M! I'm coming by sometime soon to give you a huge hug! My dad and mom already got their thank yous and love yous already. Michael just called me all the way from gorgeously landscaped Scotland and he's transfering his songs over. This way, I don't miss him as much I guess... not really, I still miss him tons and tons, heaps and heaps. Reminiscence of the day when he gave me a ride home. HAHA! I'm all smiles now. =D
