The Thaipusam Edition

Long, arduous, painful, tiring,petience-testing, devotion- testing. Some of the words I'll use to describe the walk for this year's Thaipusam. Since my precious cousin decided to carry the kavadi this year, and the aussies were here, my usual group had to go on without my family this year. The pics will be sent from Australia soon.

Absolutely no sleep since the previous night so the long process of piercings and everything, walking, waiting took up to almost 6 hours. From 3 to 10ish. Oh oh, and the moment of euphoria was when I saw Vivian Balakrishnan. Yup, for the second time. Thanks be to God. If we'd gotten there any earlier or later, i might have missed seeing him altogether. Plus he was on the news with Narayanan from SSPT. Yay!

Alrighty. Enough of that for now. The next piece of good news I got was from Nayan actually. He wants me to be a model for UON's Bachelor brochure. So cool! Plus the aussies are leaving tonight. I'll miss playing fooseball with them though. There's also the churning in my tum tum over the return of my heart. It took a trip to India with the one that stole it. I should be whole on sunday.

And of course, there was driving today. Yup, managed to book a slot. Felt damn good behing the wheel again. But the lack of sleep and wandering mind kept the focus and concentration to a minimal. I also didn't get Richard for my instructor, got some guy named Mark who's really sweet and all. I've got another lesson before Valentines and I'll prolly vent my anger on him for being dateless for the third time running. Classic case of 3 strikes and you're out.

Why don't the hopeless romantics get romance?
